My name is Kate Hill, I am a freshmen at Santa Barbara City College where Im majoring in photography and minoring in business. I have always been intrigued by photography and digital arts as a whole. Throughout high school I took a class that focused on digital arts. We touched on photography, cinematography and graphic design. Although we spent time in other areas, photography has always been my passion. With a camera you can capture a persons personality and bring the joy to a group. I believe that anyone can pick up a camera and click a button, but to be a good photographer you have to connect with your subjects. I like to think that I can easily relate to people in order to make them comfortable. That's where I think I differ from others with a camera, I am able to really connect with my subjects even in the short time I spend with them. Through high school, I went to various competitions and had pieces in a multitude of different galleries. Im excited to be embarking on this next chapter in my life, and I'm excited to see where photography takes me.
